1. I dressed up as a Christmas Tree for the RUF Christmas Party/Last Large Group of the Semester/Senior Night. Unexpectedly two of my students dressed up as presents (sort of -- they put bows on their heads). So of course we took a picture.
2. This past week was RUF training here in Dallas. It was really really good to see the other interns and talk with them about their semesters. Even though everyone has had different experiences, it was nice to empathize a little bit with people who have the same ideals and passion for campus ministry as I do. Unfortunately, I missed out on a lot of the week because...
3. I have a sinus infection. I started feeling bad in Norman last Sunday, and I was worried I was getting Annie's cough that she had the week before. But instead I was even sicker. I went to Dr. Ha, this friend of my mom's. I like it when the doctor knows I am a doctor's kid because they usually give me the benefit of the doubt and give the good stuff since they aren't worried about misdiagnosing or giving drugs to addicts or something.
4. At training, JStu and I were able to have lunch with John Ferguson, the RUF Campus Minister for the Universities in Trujillo, Peru and a missionary with the Peru Mission. It was probably the highlight of training for me, because John was able to catch me up so much on what is going on with the mission and even on some of the specific Peruvians I had met when I was there in March. It is so good and encouraging to hear that God is at work in other places in the world.
5. I have a goal that I will do all of my Christmas Shopping online. Since I signed up to be a member of Amazon Prime, which gives me free two-day shipping, I am attempting to buy everything for everyone from there to save money on shipping. If I acheive this, it will be oh so glorious. I hate Christmas shopping about as much as I love regular shopping during the rest of the year.
