World Peace

God keeps making this whole placement deal sweeter and sweeter. The 3rd season of Project Runway just debuted. The cast of 15 include designers from Santa Monica, New York, Miami Beach, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Atlanta, and --- that's right --- Norman, Oklahoma. Jonathan Kayne Gillaspie (see right) owns a store in Norman and apparently is a mogul in the pageant fashion industry. In December of 2005, he dressed the entire top five teens and the winner and first runner up in the Miss Oklahoma U.S.A. pageant. Will this mean my future town will soon be hopping with celebs? Probably not. But will I visit his store just to check? Of course.

Oh, I'm hooked, too. Guess what - I have a friend of a friend who wore a dress of his to prom. Pretty cool.

hey, we've got everything up here in Norman. Except beer brewed above 3.2% alcoholic content and a coffee shop for students to hang out and talk about pre-destination. So, we're not the coolest college town on the block, but we're no bloody Lubock!
