On Vocation

Friday, July 14, 2006
I am so blessed to have the wonderful friends I have made throughout my life. Recently I have also found out how proud I also am to be their friend - so many of them are doing great and wonderful things with their lives.

Future Occupational Therapist
Future Doctors (most are girls!)
Event Planners for the University of Texas at Austin
Future Social Worker
Spanish Teacher
Graphic Designers
Musicians
Future Nurses
Missionaries
Computer Programmers
Microbiologists
Painter
Orphanage Organization Employee
Speech Pathologists
Community Coordinators
Theologians
Future International Journalist
Sports Radio Commentators
Moms

And this is just a sampling.

All these wonderful ways to work and live the lives God gave us. All these wonderful ways to glorify Him with our excellence and devotion to our callings and vocations. My how humbled am I to be witness to the way God has led all these people to the places they are now.

P.S. I think I like lists.

Jessie and I have had a similar experience lately. With the combination of getting married and deciding to stay in town for two years, we've realized how many good friends we have. It is a great thing.

My wife is a list maker, too. So organized!
